Fishing -

Going to bring surf poles and some shorter stuff. Also going on a half day fishing trip during the week if anyone else wants to come. In all we will have 7-10 poles so Kevin if you don't want to bring them I think we will have enough. 5 days and counting......
So here we are, Monday AM. Only a few more days! Dad, you mentioned in your post you'd bring TP, dog food, etc. We'll bring some dog food, as well. TP, paper towels, anything like that will be GREAT!

Youngs, so glad to have XBox at the gathering. I don't have much use for it, aside from the Rock Band occasionally, and we'll bring that. It's so much fun.

Looks like towels & sheets are covered. As I said, we'll worry about food when we get there.

My dad & possible Russell will be coming out on Thursday. Checkout is early Saturday, and the Brendles Jr. may leave before that. I have to work Saturday night, and Larry, Aidan & Zack have a football game Saturday AM here in Raleigh. Larry's the coach, Zack the assistant, and Aidan the QB, so they have to be there. Regardless, we'll have a wonderful long time together.

As a side note, the boys are tracked out for 3 weeks end of Jan, beginning of Feb. We are tentatively planning a trip to FL then, hopefully for a week or a little longer. Don't know how long Little Lar can stay, but the boys, dogs, & Kristi can come indefinitely. We'll have plenty of time to plan while we're at the beach.

Launa, when is your surgery? Are you sure you'll be able to drive/ride all that way? You can always fly to Raleigh & ride over with us; it's about 4h by car from here.

Love you all lots & can't wait to hug you in person!

1 week & counting!

Hi, all. Larry thought this would be the easiest way for us to keep abreast of supplies, etc., for the upcoming festivities! I'm very excited, and the boys can hardly wait (Larry included).

Launa & Kevin, we had talked about meals somewhat. I was going to buy a bunch of stuff ahead of time, but I think I've decided to just buy once we get there. We'll make simple, family-friendly things like you had suggested. Maybe one night, we can do a holiday-type meal, since we won't all be together for Thanksgiving. As I said, there's a Food Lion out there, so getting food won't be a problem.

We are bringing sheets. I will bring 4 sets of queen sheets, 1 king set, and 2 or 3 twin sets. I think that should cover everybody. I'll also bring a stack of beach towels, and a stack of regular towels. Towels were what was in shortest supply last year.

I'm bringing tons of games. Aidan & Zack are so excited about the games. Unfortunately, our X-Box is broken. Launa, do your boys have one? If you could bring that, the boys would be so excited. We have Rock Band and Guitar Hero, which we all played last time. Aidan wants Pop-Pop to sing some more Radiohead! Let me know.

Anything else you can think of? It'll be here before we know it!
